Spektrum DX6i - DX7 - Transmitters
With these transmitters you will not go far wrong. They are robust and the best all rounder at a good price. If you are looking to buy a transmitter that you will not out grow then it is best to get the DX7 as it has everything you need for now and the future. Having said that, the DX6i will be able to run the Trex 600 or 700 Nitro's but with the one channel missing something will have to be compromised.

Flying with these Transmitters - Well as mentioned at the start of this article the Transmitters feel fantastic! You really feel connected to the helicopter. The sticks felt good and the spring tension was already set just right. These are the best Transmitters I have owned and I did not need to open up and loosen the spring tension on the sticks. What I really like is the sound from the timer, it is so easy to hear. Most transmitters are too quiet to hear the timer go off when you are flying. Several people have commented that the transmitter is bottom heavy and while it is, I do not notice it while flying. I do use a neck strap and no the transmitter does not hang level but it takes so little effort to hold it level that it really just is not an issue for me. I asked other club members if they noticed the transmitters were bottom heavy, nobody noticed it. While using the transmitter you do have to get use to not having to pull out the antenna when you go to fly.
